Assistant
Night Shift Manager – 2nd Shift
I.
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting the
Night Shift Manager in all aspects of Night Operations and its staff.
Must ensure that orders are prepared, picked and trucks are checked and
loaded in a productive and efficient manner. Must be a hands-on
supervisor that can contribute to completing daily work on time.
This is an exempt position that reports to the night manager. Sunday -
Thursday starting at 5:30 pm.

II.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Assign job functions
nightly as required
-
Separate dry, cooler
and frozen pick tickets for selectors
-
Calculate daily case
volume and establish labor needs for each area
-
Plan put away of
Cirelli backhauls
-
Assist in checking
product for mis-picks
-
Replenish empty slots
for selectors
-
Check and sign for
returns from Cirelli drivers
-
Locate missing
product that shows inventory
-
Oversee and assist in
loading trucks
-
Prepare paperwork for
invoicing
-
Review mistakes that
occurred in the prior day
-
Substitute product
for Out of Stocks as needed
-
Coordinate training
for new personnel
-
Keep work areas clean
and HACCP Compliant
-
Manage all aspects of
shift in Managers absence.
III.
Other Duties and responsibilities:

Responsible to
oversee battery changing and charging at night
-
Authorize Personal
and Vacation Time
-
Perform other related
duties as instructed by supervisor

Educated in warehouse
and forklift Safety

Demonstrate
leadership and maintain a productive crew

Illustrate decision
making abilities

Review employee
performance

Knowledge of
engineered labor standards a plus
VI.
Credentials and Experience:
-
Five years warehouse
and Food Service experience
-
Certified on all
related Forklifts and equipment
-
HACCP Qualified
(preferably certified)
VII.
Physical Demands and Special Requirements:
-
Ability to walk,
bend, reach and lift up to 100 lbs.

Must work well
independently with limited supervision
-
Must be willing to
maintain heavy workload during peak season
